World War IDS Norhaug
DS Norhaug was struck by a mine on May 26, 1917, by a mine laid by the German U-boat UC-21 west of St. Nazaire. The ship was en route from Swansea to Blaye carrying a cargo of coal. Five persons lost their lives in the shipwreck. The survivors were brought into La Pallice. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
