World War IIDS Patria

The Swedish DS Patria was torpedoed on 19 January 1940 by the German U-boat U-9 in the North Sea. The vessel was en route from Rotterdam to Gothenburg. Nineteen lives were lost in the sinking, including two Norwegians, while four persons were rescued.
