World War IDS Pytheas

DS Pytheas was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-35 on February 26, 1918, southeast of Cape Palos. The ship was en route from Genoa to New Orleans in ballast. Two people lost their lives in the shipwreck. The survivors were rescued by a British patrol boat. (Sources: Sjø and Med norsk skib i verdenskrigen)
