World War IIDS Rutenfjell
SS Rutenfjell entered Nortraship service in April 1940. The ship was interned by Vichy France in Dakar starting in June 1940 and was used in French scheduled services between 1941 and 1943. In November 1943, the ship was returned to Norwegian authorities. In 1962, the ship caught fire off Christmas Island and was later scuttled.
