World War IDS San Andres
DS San Andres was sunk by the German U-boat U-86 on May 11, 1918, west of Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel. The ship was en route from the Mediterranean with general cargo, stopping at Swansea to refuel before the final leg to Norway. Two people lost their lives in the shipwreck. The ship sank rapidly, forcing seven men to jump into the sea, but they were later rescued by a British trawler. (Sources: Sjøhistorie.no and Med norsk skib i verdenskrigen)
