World War IISS Sigrun
The Danish SS Sigrun was torpedoed on 3 November 1940 by the British submarine HMS Sturgeon east of Færder. The vessel was en route from Porsgrunn to Denmark. Sigrun sank in under a minute, and the Norwegian pilot perished in the sinking.
