World War IDS Snyg
DS Snyg was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-94 on February 26, 1918, north of Ouessant. The ship was en route from Newport to Hennebont carrying a cargo of coal. Four people lost their lives in the shipwreck. The survivors were later rescued by a British patrol boat. (Sources: Sjøhistorie.no and Med norsk skib i verdenskrigen)
