World War IDS Stegg

DS Stegg was stopped and sunk by the German U-boat UC-41 on April 23, 1917, east of Lerwick. The ship was en route from Arendal to Tyne carrying a cargo of mine props. One stoker perished when one of the lifeboats capsized. (Sources: Sjøhistorie.no and Med norsk skib i verdenskrigen)
