World War IISS Susana
The SS Susana was torpedoed on 14 October 1941 by the German U-boat U-221 south of Cape Farwell. The vessel was en route from New York to Cardiff in convoy, carrying general cargo. Thirty-eight lives were lost in the sinking, including three Norwegians, while twenty-one persons were rescued.
