World War IDS Taurus
DS Taurus was torpedoed by the German U-boat UB-80 on September 8, 1918, north of Scarborough. The ship was en route from Rouen, France, to Tyne in ballast. Six people lost their lives in the shipwreck. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
