World War IDS Vigrid
DS Vigrid was sunk by the German U-boat UC-71 on September 10, 1917, southeast of the Isle of Wight. The ship was en route from Cardiff to St. Malo, carrying a cargo of coal. Eight people lost their lives in the shipwreck.
