World War IDS Vilja

DS Vilja was torpedoed by the German U-boat U-55 on April 5, 1917, west of Fastnet. The ship was en route from Bathurst, Gambia, to Liverpool, carrying a cargo of peanuts. One person died in the shipwreck.
