World War IIDS Ole Wegger
The floating whaling factory SS Ole Wegger was captured on January 14, 1941, by the German commerce raider HSK Penguin in the whaling fields of the South Atlantic. The vessel was sent to France by the Germans, where it was sunk as a blockship off Rouen in August 1944. After the war, the wreck was raised and sold for scrapping in 1947.
