World War IIMS Andenes
The MS Andenes was attacked and severely damaged by Allied aircraft on 2 April 1944 in Lyngenfjord, Troms. One person lost their life in the attack. The vessel was fully repaired by May 1946. In 1998, the ship was removed from the Lloyd’s Register of Shipping.
