World War IIMS Korshamn
MS Korshamn was torpedoed on March 17, 1941, by the German U-boat U-99 at position N 61.09′, W 12.20′. The ship was sailing in convoy HX 112, en route from New York via Halifax to Liverpool, carrying general cargo. Out of a crew of 36, 24 lost their lives. Twelve of those who perished were Norwegian.
