World War IIMS Tellevaag I
MS Tellevaag I was involved in the Telavåg operation in 1942 when the passenger ship arrived at the location one day before the German operation on April 29. Four members of the crew from the ship were arrested by the Germans: Nils Grimsen, First Officer Håkon Grimsen, Engineer Gerhard Midttveit, and Steward Gerhard Anton Midttveit. The ship was taken over by the Germans in 1944 and renamed Bortiz. Tellevaag I continued to operate after the war until it was dismantled in Os and sunk in 1965.
