World War IIMT Thelma
On the 26th of August 1942, MT Thelma was torpedoed by the German uboat U-162 in the West Indies. The ship was on its way from Cape Town through Trinidad to the USA. The survivors and wounded were brought to Barbados. Two men perished in the sinking.
