World War IIMT Astrell

MT Astrell was torpedoed on November 5th 1942 by the German u-boat U-129. The ship was loaded with 10500 tons of oil. The torpedo struck on starboard side just aft of the midship. 3 lifeboats and a raft was launched. One British gunner perished in the sinking, 42 people were saved.
