World War IISS Aneroid

The Panamanian-registered SS Aneroid was torpedoed on 2 October 1942 by the German U-boat U-175. The vessel was en route from Paramaribo to Trinidad carrying bauxite. Six lives were lost, while forty-three persons were rescued.
