World War IISS Foxen

The Swedish SS Foxen was torpedoed on 18 January 1940 by the German U-boat U-55 approximately 80–100 nautical miles off Pentland, Scotland. The vessel was en route from Garston to Gothenburg carrying coke. Seventeen lives were lost, and two persons were rescued.
