World War IISS Friar Rock

The Panamanian-registered SS Friar Rock was torpedoed on 13 January 1942 by the German U-boat U-130. The vessel was en route from New York to Arkhangelsk carrying general cargo. Thirty-one lives were lost, while six persons were rescued.
