World War IIST Gulfpenn

The American ST Gulfpenn was torpedoed on 13 May 1942 by the German U-boat U-506. The vessel was en route from Port Arthur, Texas, to Philadelphia, carrying oil. Thirteen lives were lost in the sinking, including one Norwegian, while twenty-five persons were rescued.
