World War IISS Koranton

The British SS Koranton was torpedoed on 27 March 1941 by the German U-boat U-98 off the coast of Iceland. The vessel was en route from Philadelphia to Loch Ewe and Hull carrying iron ore. The entire crew of 41 perished in the sinking.
