World War IISS Pillory

The Panama-registered SS Pillory was torpedoed on June 5, 1944, by the German U-boat U-530. The vessel was en route from San Juan to Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, in ballast. Twenty-five people lost their lives in the sinking.
