World War IISS Portugal
The Belgian SS Portugal was torpedoed on 20 January 1941 by the Italian submarine Marcello. The vessel was en route from Lisbon to Methil and Goole via Gibraltar, carrying pyrite. The entire crew was lost in the sinking.
