World War IISS Ville de Liège

The Belgian SS Ville de Liège was torpedoed on 14 April 1941 by the German U-boat U-52. The vessel was en route from New York to Belfast and Liverpool carrying general cargo. Forty lives were lost, including one Norwegian, while twelve persons were rescued.
