Andre verdenskrigJack Hansen

Jack Hansen was on MS Herstein which was attacked by Japanese aircraft in Rabaul, New Britan. The crew was captured and sent aboard in the Japanese SS Montevideo Maru. Hansen was killed  July 1, 1942 when the ship was sunk in the Pacific on the way to Japan. None of the 1054 prisoners survived the sinking.
