World War IDS Athos

DS Athos was torpedoed on January 26, 1918, by the German U-boat UB-34 off Kettleness. The ship was en route from Rouen, France to Middlesbrough in ballast. Sadly, 2 people lost their lives in the sinking. (Source: Sjøhistorie.no)
