World War IDS Kongsli

DS Kongsli was torpedoed and severely damaged by the German U-boat UB-16 on April 20, 1917, near Texel Lighthouse, Netherlands, resulting in the death of the second mate. The survivors later reached the shore at Ymuiden. The ship was subsequently repaired. On August 18, 1917, the vessel was torpedoed again and sunk by the German U-boat UB-48 in the Atlantic Ocean.
